Living Local is putting the focus back on community. In a world of chains and brand names, Living Local highlights local events, unique businesses, and stunning locations right here in Southern Ontario. From a maple syrup farm in Niagara, to axe throwing in Burlington, Living Local wants to show viewers all there is to do in the communities around them. Living Local lets the community tell the story.
AUTHENTIC WITH A CAPITAL “EH”
Instead of a reporter giving information through voice-overs, viewers hear from owners and staff to learn all about these places. To keep things authentic, every story features tons of first-hand, and often hilarious, interviews from patrons and event-goers. In the age of smart phones and streaming, Living Local is here to show viewers exciting events and activities they can check out, and give them a desire to get out and see what’s going on in their own communities.

Host
Meet Christina Pearo, the enthusiastic television host and associate producer of “Living Local” for the last 5 seasons! Christina loves new experiences, you’ll often find her participating in everything from skydiving to speaking with llamas, cruising in exotic cars, and eating amazing food – exploring both well-known companies and local businesses in Southern Ontario.

DYLAN WATSON
Producer
Dylan is the creator and producer of Living Local. Basically, he’s the guy that stands behind the camera and bosses everyone else around. In 6 seasons, the LL team has grown, the show format has evolved, but the constant has been Dylan’s leadership and commitment to promoting all the good that Southern Ontario has to offer.
When he’s not out filming in the community, Dylan is probably at home binge-watching either reality TV with his wife, or Ms. Rachel with his 1-year-old.
CARL GREENE

Meet Carl, our Camera Dynamo! Since 2021, he’s been sprinting around the community, chasing shots, and holding onto his camera for dear life. He’s part magician, part coffee enthusiast with a relentless drive for creative storytelling. So if you spot a wild cameraman sipping a latte whilst hanging from a lamppost… chances are you’ve just met Carl!
MATT ROMER

Matt Romer is an editor/post producer who has worked with/for YES TV for over 7 years. When he’s not editing Living Local he can be found living locally in Burlington with his wife and two girls. He enjoys long walks on the golf course, late nights building Lego and doing his best to live up to his tea mug, as ‘World’s Best Daddy’.
