Accounts Payable Coordinator

Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers. This is a vital role within our organization, contributing to the maintenance of financial stability and vendor relationships.

Areas of Responsibility

  1. Support the finance team by meeting month-end deadlines for invoice entry.
  2. Work with all departments in processing accounts payable invoices, expense reports, and credit cards on a timely basis.
  3. Prepare payments on a timely basis to pay suppliers, reimburse employee expenses and freelance charges, including the reconciliation of invoices to their contract terms.
  4. Provide support to staff in all departments on procedures for preparing cheque requisitions, expense reports etc.
  5. Communicate with vendors to reconcile statements and answer payment inquiries.
  6. Enter invoices daily into Sage 300.
  7. Review cheque requisitions for accuracy and ensure proper backup.
  8. Maintain programming contracts and vendor files.


Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Completion of post-secondary education or working equivalent.
  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable processing.
  3. Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles.
  4. Excellent customer service skills.
  5. Advanced Excel skills.
  6. Ability to work with high-volume cycles and precise deadlines.
  7. Previous work within a broadcaster is beneficial.
  8. Sage 300 experience is beneficial.
  9. Employment at YES TV is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory Police Clearance.
