Position Summary

As a member of the Traffic team, this position assists in the preparation and maintenance of traffic functions associated with commercial sales and related material for the achievement of revenue goals.

 

The chosen candidate will be an individual who thrives in a team environment and would welcome the opportunity to assist in various areas of the department, assisting with multiple Broadcast Traffic functions, in support of an organizational mission that is purposeful and fulfilling.

Areas of Responsibility

  1. Process sales orders
  2. Perform quality assurance of orders
  3. Assign YES TV/CCCI Promos
  4. Assist Traffic Manager with client short-pay/credit request investigations.
  5. Assist Traffic Manager with projects as needed
  6. Monitor MediaOcean e-contracts
  7. Assist with traffic reports (as directed by Traffic Manager)

 

Specific Job Duties:

 

  1. Implement and manage all Sales Contracts (commercial and block) from a traffic (and accounting perspective).
  2. Administer program changes related to sales orders and copy
  3. Coordinate SDS Promotional Purge Lists for Media Services.
  4. Identify issues for Traffic Manager that can delay production of daily logs (i.e. late orders coming in with or without creative
  5. Ensure that last minute promos are assigned and dealt with
  6. Maintain advertiser and agency lists between SDS and Finance System
  7. Investigate sales, client or finance issues in conjunction with Traffic Manager.
  8. Identify issues for Traffic Manager that will delay production of daily logs (i.e. late orders and promos coming in with or without creative).
  9. Process (or assist with processing) of commercial and block programming sales contracts; application of accounting codes at sales contract line level.
  10. Maintain, (or assist with maintaining), internal reports; create and distribute post-clearance reports for Direct Response Clients as needed.
  11. Communicate contractual and creative deadlines to communications/promotions (re: in-house produced elements).
  12. Schedule promotional spots, communicating with internal Marketing counterparts, managing changes as outlined in scheduling instructions.
  13. Check orders to ensure accuracy
  14. Perform quality assurance testing on contracts as outlined in the Traffic Standard Practices and Guidelines.
  15. Assist finance department with month-end billing processes, invoicing, client discrepancy investigation and corporate audits, in conjunction with the Traffic Manager.
  16. Other duties as required.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. College degree in broadcast Media
  2. Minimum of 5 years working within a Broadcast Environment with hands on experience in Traffic and Broadcast revenue.
  3. Proficiency in the use of Specialty Data Systems Traffic system, or other traffic systems.
  4. Intermediate to Advanced Word and Excel skills
  5. Good understanding of broadcast terminology
  6. Excellent communication and organization skills
  7. Strong time management skills and work ethic, (highly motivated), to manage multiple accountabilities
